This web site was created by the IN–DEEP project team. The IN–DEEP team, led by researchers at the Centre for Health Communication and Participation, La Trobe University, includes Australian and Italian researchers, MS Australia staff, health professionals and people with MS and their family members.
The IN–DEEP project was funded by MS Research Australia and MS Australia — ACT/NSW/VIC. The team was awarded this funding to explore the best way to present evidence about treatment options to people with MS. This involved talking with people with MS and their family members about their experiences and looking at best practice in this area in Australia and overseas. The material developed for this website was read and assessed by the IN-DEEP consumer advisory group, other people with MS, health professionals and MS Australia staff.
MS Australia endorses the Making Sense of MS Research web site, in its effort to develop quality web based resources for people with MS on aspects of MS treatments aimed at assisting people in their informed decision making and self management.
